Alalea is the Third Sea spawn island for players level 180-250. Alalea is Cursebeard's kingdom, an island said to be half the size of Mainland. A large city surrounded by tall walls, with grassland all around.

Overview[]

Alalea is a large island accommodating the One Shot Pirates' walled city and Cursebeard's fortress. Outside the walls are hills with trees leading to the surrounding beach with a large port taking up one side of the island. Long paths lead to staircases which in turn lead to fountains on corners of the island, one of which Theos, The War Phoenix will be resting on.

Within the walls are numerous market stands and houses divided into a "shopping district" and various "housing districts", including a local tavern and a bank. Multicolored cannons line the top of the walls, with white mortars stationed on the corners. There are only two entrances in the walled city. One is situated between the Rich District and the New District, and the other lying between the Merchant Square and Rich District.

Housing Districts[]

Houses are divided into three districts in Alalea, with each district sporting a different color, indicating three different social classes.

The Old District: The houses here are stone gray, and the residents here range from the not very wealthy to the dirt-poor.
The New District: The houses here are white with blue roofs. The upper-middle class citizens live in this district.
The Rich District: Houses in this district are white with gold. A lot of guard captains live here.

Shopping District[]

A small area filled with merchant from all over the world is found in between the New District and the Old District. There are a total of 8 stands, 5 stands of which you can interact with, and 1 travelling designer. The stands in Alalea include the following:

At the heart of Alalea is a large castle that serves as the One Shot Pirate's headquarters, and barracks for the guards. Rooms in the castle include a sleeping quarters, an indoor and outdoor mess hall, a storage room filled with crates, a small chapel, and a throne room for Cursebeard.

Alalea's Library[]

On the ground floor of Cursebeard's castle lies Alalea's Library, which is supposedly the second largest in the Arcane World. In the library, players can obtain The Arcane Chronicles and other books from the librarian, Veronica, free-of-charge.

Guards[]

On and within the city walls, various guards and guard captains can be found and talked to. Guard mobs, and occasionally guard captains, will appear upon demolishing a house, and will despawn after they kill the person who demolished the house they spawned from, or after a certain period of time has passed, Arsen taking longer to despawn than standard guards and guard captains. Guards are equipped with a Colossal Cutlass, and use the sword's innate ability, Colossal Flying Slash.

The 5 Guard Captains include:

Reginald, wields twin Colossal Cutlasses, hails from a poor island in the 5th Sea. He is level 320 with 3,533 HP.
Drake, a blind sharpshooter who wields Dual Flintlocks. He is level 315 with 3,498 HP.
Jace, a Light Magic user who attacks with the Staff of Shining Stars. He is level 325 with 3,568 HP.
Arsen, a temporary Guard Captain and the One Shot Pirates' Commander of Division 3. He is a level 1,250 Ash Curse user with 18,750 HP. He also carries a large red sword on his back, but doesn't use it.
Arus, Head of Defense, carries a large golden bazooka on his back. He has no mob counterpart and cannot be fought.

Objective: Find and talk to Cursebeard in the castle keep of Alalea. If he is not there, talk to the guards outside it.
Rewards: 0 Lamina and 5000 EXP.

The Rising Phoenix[]

Quest Giver: Theos, the War Phoenix.
Objective: Talk to Theos at Sunrise Ravine.
Rewards: 10,000 Lamina and 10,000 EXP.

Oliver's Revenge (Side Quest) (3 Parts)[]

Quest Giver: Oliver
Objective 1: Defeat Guard Captain Drake of Alalea, for the abused Old District residents.
Objective 2: Defeat Guard Captain Jace of Alalea, for the abused Old District residents.
Objective 3: Defeat Guard Captain Reginald of Alalea, for the abused Old District residents.
Rewards: 1000 Lamina and 30,000 EXP.

Preparing for the Feast (Side Quest)[]

Quest Giver: Morgan.
Objective: Collect grapes for Morgan so she can finish her soup.
Rewards: 5000 Lamina and 1000 EXP.

Stealing Back (Side Quest)[]

Quest Giver: David.
Objective: Defeat guard captains at Alalea until you find the one that stole Maisie's treasure.
Rewards: 1000 Lamina and 10,000 EXP.

Trivia[]

The music played on Alalea is "Bloodborne - Undone By The Blood (The First Hunter Remix)" by Alex Roe.
- In Arcane Adventures, Alalea had different background music before it was released to the public, which happens to be music played on Sabura in Arcane Reborn, "Fate Zero OST - The Legend".
Strangely enough, you could fish in the grass outside of the city walls, but this has since been patched.
You can also fish in the fountains in each district, if you are precise enough.
Alalea's local tavern, The Second Shot, is probably named after The One Shot Pirates, the pirate clan that captured Alalea.
Without using enchantments that boost jump height, it is not possible to high-jump over the walls alone, but aid of a jump ultimate it is possible. Sky Skates will also work.
It seems Cursebeard was a man who treated his people fairly, as David from the Second Shot claims that ever since Cursebeard left with most of his forces, injustice has gone rampant within Alalean walls.
The weapon salesman "Gerald" in the shopping district is a reference to the character "Geralt of Rivia" from "The Witcher" book series.
